The wind! The leaves!
Our yard was clear of leaves last week - J mowed over them all 
However, we had heavy rain all week and it was a bit windy… and now we have this:
Let’s add a caption: “Hey? Hello? yeah, I can’t see where I just pooped. I’m a dog and don’t care if I step in it… but, um… you might!”
“Man, look at all these leaves. Where’d the deck go? Stupid tree.”

So do ‘evergreens’ rather than deciduous trees go on your wish list when you buy a house. My yard in Cleveland is covered in brown oak leaves. My neighbors have raked and mowed every week to clear their grass. I am the slacker. There are big piles of leaves ringing the curbs waiting for the village leaf picker-upper truck to roll on by.
