This and That

Long time no post! I just got lazy I guess. Last week I was in Austin for work - always a good time! Not the work part, but the staying-at-Stepho’s-house part :) But before I went, I took some pictures that I’ll go through now:

Here is my first baby sweater for the little one. I took a gamble with making it in blue before finding out boy/girl, but I guessed correctly! It is from the free pattern called Baby Yoda Sweater. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in a dusty/country blue color and used size 7 needles. Pretty easy knit :) It is wrap-style so there is a little tie that is covered by the top layer on the opposite side of the tie that is visible.

I forget if I mentioned that our dog turned 5 a couple weeks ago. I wasn’t creative enough to make her a doggy cake of any kind… but I did make her a special treat. I took some plain yogurt and mixed in her kibble and then froze it. She LOVED it! Here she is waiting patiently for it as she knows it MUST be good:

Here she is diving right in - and ignoring her “good dog, happy birthday scratches”:

She couldn’t get a good grip on the thing, so she accidentally cleverly wedged it up against some things to settle in and lick it to death:

And finally… I decided I would start trying to brush her teeth. She’s getting older in her age, and last time we were at the vet, they said we should think about getting her teeth cleaned. For dogs, this is a general-anesthesia “operation” at the vet (read big $$$). I know her teeth aren’t bad… but still. So a-brushin’ we went! You can see her response here:

She liked the yogurt treat better I think. Don’t you?
