Holiday Weekend!
I love long holiday weekends. Because it means that not only will I not be working on monday, but none of my coworkers will be either so I can’t feel behind (like you do when you go on vacation). Plus I just like a day off anytime! But today is Tuesday and back to work. Blah.
I came across a website that inspired me for how to decorate the nursery: here. It seems easy, cheap, non-permanent. And hey, I have fabric on hand!
As my mom is packing up her house to move, I keep receiving fun boxes in the mail to open. Inside one was a blanket that my grandmother had knit for my sister and I when we were babies. And also a little green cardigan that someone made for us (and I think I wore it!). I thought I’d share since I think it is so great that she kept them, even though we give her crap for never throwing anything away. She also sent the little yellow outfit that sis and I were brought home from the hospital in - so cute!

very cool idea for the fabric on the wall. makes me want to get crafty for the kiddos’ new rooms, whenever that happens.
and kudos to mom for sending the heirlooms. gotta love that!

Lucy,
Really glad you love the blanket and little baby things. Grandma Archer knit the sweater. I do keep stuff way beyond the time I should but am rewarded with the occasional “Oh, yes!” when time rolls around again for them.
Love,
Mom
