Hats, Dogs, and Blackberry
First weekend of football! My fantasty football team won its first matchup - yeah! I clearly knew what I was doing when I drafted my team
In knitting news… I finished up 3 baby hats this weekend. Two for the friend who asked me to knit them for gifts. They both are purple and look like this:

(yarn: Knitpicks Swish Superwash in color Wisteria; needles: US 6; pattern: mine.)
Like my “model”? I have no babies to model hats on, so I used a ball of Plymouth Encore yarn.
Next up is a cute hat I made following the pattern for “A Little Hat”. I used yarn that got me a smaller guage than the pattern called for, so it got me a smaller hat:

And now for the dog… who is my office-mate. Hard worker, I tell ya! Its tough coming up with new positions to sleep in. Today was a bury-the-nose-day. And I caught it on the camera. Usually if I go to grab the camera and turn it on, she has popped her head up with a disoriented look of “wha? who?” But I got her this time! Here she is, happily snoring since even dogs can’t sleep with their noses buried and do it quietly (for those who are not oriented with our dog… that little white spot at the bottom of the picture is the middle of her forehead, so her butt is at the top of the picture):

And lastly… I discovered that wild berries grow around Seattle. I see people on the side of the road at an overgrown shrub/vine-thing picking at something and putting it in tupperware. I figured it was just weirdos. But! We have this random thorny vine mixed in with the ivy groundcover next to our driveway. And this morning I saw a little bunch of berries! I picked one to show you. I think this is a blackberry?

Isn’t it cute??
