Quick Knitting update
So DH and I have started looking online for places for rent/sale out in Seattle. It is sort of fun to start picturing ourselves out there! And, my countdown has begun until we can buy real couches again! And have a real yard for the dog! And supposedly I will get to pick out a fun car for myself - any suggestions?
On to crafty thoughts. I have been knitting an Elizabeth Zimmerman pattern called Baby Surprise Jacket. It is so cool! It knits up in one garter-stitch piece. And then you fold it up into a jacket and just have the two seams down the top of each arm to stitch:
Unfolded:

Folded (it really is even on both sides… apparently I didn’t lay it flat for the picture):

I also modified a pattern I found online for a child’s short-row hat to make it for a baby. This one went to our friends who just had a baby 2 weeks ago. What is great about it, is the ridges make it stretchy to fit any size baby head and it can easily be folded up to fit.

And… our dog has been extra lovey and playful lately. Here is what she and DH do for about 20 minutes when he gets home. She does figure 8’s through his legs and he scratches her and she usually has a stuffed toy in her mouth. So funny.

Happy Friday!

That’s a pretty cool jacket. Is the pattern online? Could you possibly send it to me? I’ll put it in my queue of projects.
Sam’s pants are finished but they are enormous!
