Lucy’s Crafty Thoughts

I love the weekends. Until Sunday night and I lament not being more productive and also knowing I have to get up and work the next day. But I love getting to sleep in til 11 if we want. Staying in pajamas all day. Etc. Today it is like 5-degrees out here in Chicago. We can’t complain, it has been a much milder winter than last winter. But it is still startling to the senses when you have to take your dog out to go to the bathroom in it. Brrr!

But back inside… hubby and I tidied up our condo last night and this morning. Our landlord is going to sell the condo after we move out and so there is sort of an open house tomorrow. And he offered to pay to get it cleaned if we wanted. Score!! So this afternoon the Merry Maids will be here cleaning the floors, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. I am SO excited. I have the Olympics on in the background. I love watching this Biathalon stuff. The cross country skiing and shooting. Makes me out of breath just watching them!

This afternoon I think I am getting together with some other crafty ladies to watch TV and knit, sew, etc. Luckily it is less than a block away. Its too damn cold out to walk further than that! I’m such a wuss

Update: OK, so Merry Maids didn’t show up during their promised window. So we called and canceled, not wanting to have to hang around and wait for them during our Saturday evening. Grrrr. Guess they lost our business. And now I’ll have to do a dust-down and swiffer wet-jet tomorrow morning. Dammit!
