Lucy’s Crafty Thoughts

Yesterday afternoon I was driving and the thermometer in the jeep said it was 103-degrees. I’d believe it. You just sweat by standing still. Today I got up early for a 9am pedicure/manicure appt. Must have nice looking toes and fingers for the TV show! I actually just had her shape and buff my nails since any polish put on today would for certain chip and peel by Tuesday. Then, I took my latte and went to walk around the art fair that is going on in Evanston this weekend. A couple streets are blocked off and set up with the tents. Mostly paintings, photographs, ceramics, and jewelry. I saw two booths with woven goods and a couple silk scarves. I picked up a couple gifts and sweat profusely. Yes mom, I had sunscreen on Speaking of, did you know that they are doing market research for coming out with kids clothes that have SPF in them? A plain old cotton t-shirt only provides some tiny SPF and doesn’t block all the harmful rays. I still like to think that all the years of being made to swim in a t-shirt will help me age gracefully. Otherwise the embarrasment was for naught!!

OK. I’m feeling the need to do some cleaning. I know these feelings don’t come very frequently so I’m going to go vacuum before I don’t feel like it again.
